Minter Ellison Negotiation

Minter Ellison Negotiation

Court proceedings are the last resort and alternative dispute resolution methods are increasing in popularity. The Minter Ellison Negotiation Competition is a method for students to identify themselves with this emerging area.

The Competition is a simulated negotiation of a legal dispute in which teams of two negotiators represent the two parties to the dispute. The objective of each team in this competition is to achieve an outcome that satisfied their client’s goals. An expert knowledge of the law is not required for this competition due to the focused goals of each client.

Any student enrolled in a law degree at Notre Dame may compete.

The top placing two competitors in the competition will win the right to represent the University at the ALSA Conference in July 2011. The running of the competition and subsidies for the competitors attending ALSA are provided by Minter Ellison.

Round One: Wednesday the 8th of September.

Round Two: Wednesday the 15th of September.

Grand Final: TBC week 9.
