Welcome back to uni!

We hope you’ve had a fantastic time clerking, at ALSA, at  summer school, competing in the Maritime Moot or on holiday!

 

Semester two has plenty in store with clerkship and graduate applications and offers, the law ball, competitions, sports events and the quiz night. Make sure your keep visiting the website to stay up to date!

 

Coming up very early are a few careers related events – please visit the careers’ page to be enlightened!

 

And don’t forget to save the date for the NDLSS LAW BALL – Saturday August 21st.

Hi all!

We hope you had fun at the Cocktail Party and Golf Day in the last few weeks – we sure did!

Make sure you’ve checked out the latest copy of the Sundry Crimes (available outside the entrance to the Law library). If you are interested in contributing to the next SC, email Claire at publication@ndlss.org.au

Trial advocacy has wrapped up for this semester after fierce competition between the brilliant competitors.

We hope you’ve had some luck in your Careers endeavours. Visit the Careers page to see all the upcoming events to make sure you stay on top!!

I hope you all came down and participated in the Career events we’ve had already this semester. If you have not yet purchased a Career’s Guide please see one of your NDLSS representatives, as the guide is a vital tool created to help you navigate your way through the vacation and graduate application process!

Other events coming up to help you better understand the application process:

Corrs Chamber Westgarth seminar – Wednesday March 17th @ 12.30pm

If you are about to embark on these applications, please come along to these seminars for plenty of friendly advice and information. Remember applications for winter clerkships for 2010 are due March 26!

Semester one is creeping closer and with applications for winter clerkships almost open (February 15) there’s some important dates NDLSS would like to let you know about. Week 2 will be action packed with careers events to help you find your path.

Wednesday March 3 – The NDLSS Career’s Guide launch, 6pm @ Notre Dame

Thursday March 4 – The Big Meet, 1-5pm @ Perth Convention Centre. See www.thebigmeet.com.au for more info

Friday March 5 – Law Careers Fair, 11am-3pm @ QV1 Building, Perth
